 The history of Didier Drogba


The iconic Didier Drogba is an Ivorian by nationality he was born around 11th March,1978.Abidjan, Ivory Coast.He played internationally for the ivory coast professional football.

He was highly recognizes up till now for his exceptional career and performance both for Club and internatinally.He is the all time highest goal scorer in international football and was crowned African best footballer of the year twice in 2006 and 2009 respectively.

Drogba went to France at age five to meet his uncle who was a professional footballer then in France he was there for about three years and returned home and still moved back to France after another three years in Ivory Coast

He developed his football in some lower division clubs in France before he graduated to be able to qualify and gain more football experience and later joined more reputable clubs where he made his fame .He was an apprentice under second division Levallois at his age 15. and then later in 1997-1998 he was in Le Mans football club temporarily but signed a more official contract with the side as a professional in the second season of his stay in the club.

Guingamp welcomed Drogba in the beginning of 2002 where he featured in 34 matches and scored 17 goals, he was successful with the club and his success gained him more recognition and later attracted by bigger club and eventually moved Olympique de Marseille recorded number of goals for the club in his name both in the domestic league games and otherwise. He scored 19 goals in 35domestic games and progressed to the 2004 union of European Football Association (UEFA) finals where he scored 11 goals in the European league but lost in the finals (2-0) to Valencia of Spain.

HIS REMARKABLE CAREER .

The English league giant club Chelsea welcome the African giant in 2004 in a trade transfer from Marseille. In the following season following season Chelsea won it's first premier league championship in 50 years. He was trying in his role with Chelsea within his experience and capacity, in his second season Chelsea defended the title with the effort of the players which include the exceptional performance of Drogba but nevertheless, he has not won the voice of the fan.

During the end of 2006-2007season Chelsea could not defend the title at the third time but good enough for Drogba he has gained the heart of most of the Chelsea fans and he was the league top scorer with incredible 20 goals and finally ended the season with total of 33 goals. He was doing pretty great and was the most key player for the side in both (FA) cup and Carling cup trophies and the only goal in the finals of both competition were scored by him.

It was another bigger Drama in the football career of Drogba as he climb the higher peak in his football career that year in 2008.Drogba was among the very important play makers that led the team to the champions league finals against Manchester united in (2008).One of the unforgettable events was the clash between Drogba and one the opponent player when Drogba slapped the opponent player and Drogba was sent off. Chelsea lost the match in penalty shootout 

In 2009, it was another FA cup show and Chelsea won the trophy with Drogba in the team, in the later season Chelsea won both the FA and the premier league title and Drogba named the highest goal scorer for the league scoring 29 goals.

Chelsea won their first European club championship against Bayern Munich in 2012.with the exceptional performance of the team which immensely include the great effort of the African giant Didier Drogba.

DROGBA MOVED ON OUT FROM ENGLAND

Drogba signed new deal with the Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua but did not stay much long before returning back to Europe and moved to join the Turkish giant Galatasary Instabul later in 2013. He was among the top players there at the time and helped Galatasary to win the Turkish first league title and eventually returned to Chelsea on one year contract deal in (2014).

in the following year he signed new deal with Montreal Impact of major soccer in north America, he was there for about two years (2015-2016) and later in (2017) he moved to the Phoenix Rising in the second division of the United soccer league as a player and as also share owner.

Drogba finally retires from all football competitons in (2018).
