Jay Jay Okocha's Biography.
He was born on 14th August,1973.he's a Nigerian professional footballer who played an attacking for the Super eagles of Nigeria.
between 1993 and 2006 he has recorded 73 caps record in his name for Nigeria international and scored 14 goals, he was also among the players that formed the three FIFA world cup squad
Jay Jay's Football career
The genius started his football career from Enugu Rangers in Nigeria professional football league, he was highly recognized and regarded as one of the best footballer of all time in Africa.
later on he moved to Borussia neunkirchen in Germany and featured for few months in the second Bundesliga league before moving to the main German league Bundesliga where he officially joined Eintracht Frankfurt in December 1991and he linked up with some African players such as Tony Yeboah and Thomas Doll.
He continued his professional football career just like that in Germany and so good so far he was doing greatly and continued to please the German side with excellence performance. No one would ever forget the unforgettable dribbling against Karlsruher Sc when he dribbled and dribbled again and again in the penalty box yard, Oliver Kahn,all the players on the field of play that day, all the spectators, commentators, coaches and everyone that watch the match that very day would lever forget the scene.
The goal went viral and was voted the best goal of the season by many news paper magazine company and was also voted as the 1993 best goal of the year by viewers of sportschau.Okocha,Yeboah and Maurizo Guadino were involved in a feud that led to their departure in 1995.
Yeboah and Guadino moved to England for another club career while Austine Jay Jay Okocha remained in Germany with Eintracht until they relegated to the second division league, Okocha then signed a new contract with the Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The transfer worth over one million euro and was performing brilliantly in the super lig,he was able to score 30 goals in 62 appearances and most of the goals were from the free kick spot making him so recognized and exceptional especially when it comes to taking free kick and made him an important player in the club
Okocha in Paris Saint Germain (P.S.G)
Paris Saint Germain spent over 14 million euro.to sign Okocha and that made him the most expensive player in Africa as at that period, four years in the French side he featured in 84 matches and scored 12 goals for the side, more importantly, he was a role model and mentor for upcoming players in the world and player like Brazilian Ronaldinho was an exceptional player that modelled Jay Jay Okocha.
During the UEFA intertoto cup, Austin Okocha scored 5 goals and contributed immensely to P.S.G to the point of becoming joint champions alongside of Aston Villa and ES Troyes all in 2001.
Austin Jay Jay Okocha in Bolton Wanderers
Okocha departed Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2002 and moved to Bolton Wanderers on free transfer around the time of FIFA world cup, he was hindered little bit by injuries but he was on top of the talk in the cup as the fans loved him and his play that they customized their shirt with his name ''Jay Jay'' some of his goals were voted goal of the season of the club.

Bolton relegated in 2012 from the English Premier league and annoyed him as he lamented that the club did not work on his foundation for the club to improve and in 2017 he was voted to be the best player ever played for Bolton wanderers at the Reebok Macron stadium
He spent a season in Qatar and was signed on free transfer to Hull city and while in Hull city Austin Jay Jay Okocha didn't contribute much for the club due to injury problem and lack of good fitness, he featured only in18 matches and score no goal, but fortunately, Hulls struggled and got promoted to the English Premier league for the first time in 104 years.
Austin Jay Jay Okocha was thinking about retiring but later changed his mind i think it could be because of the success of the club to have promoted to the premier league but unfortunately the club release him to go and finally decided to go on permanent retirement.
His International Career
Okocha officially featured for Nigeria in the FIFA world cup qualifiers against ivory coast in which the super eagles loss the match in away to the host ivory coast, later he featured in the match against Algeria where he scored the important goal Nigeria needed and it was from direct free kick to bring the super eagles to the same level with the opponent and finally helped the team to win the match with a high goal margin (4-1) and that made the team secure their first world cup qualification in 1994.
Jay Jay has fantastic career internationally that he was loved and respected and known to be one of the greatest and best African player up till today
